Brief description of Flood risk
Green: Normal Winter Conditions no particular flooding concerns
Yellow: Low Flood Risk. Rivers may overflow with local effects with fast and dangerous flows. People should exercise care especially in the case of outside activities on and near water.
Orange: Medium Flood Risk. Overflows from rivers and lakes and on the coast may have a significant impact on communities. There is some threat to life and the safety of property and persons
Red: High Flood Risk. There is a likelihood of major widespread flooding. There is also a direct threat to life and safety of persons and property.
Purple: Extreme Flood Risk. There is major flooding which is beyond that which is currently recorded. There is extreme threat to life and safety of persons and property.
